Because of its violent nature and the sheer numbers of people who play, football is the leading cause of school sports injuries. Aside from minor aches and pains, common football injuries include ankle sprains, knee injuries, shoulder injuries, and concussions.
Fortunately, many football injuries can be prevented by wearing the right equipment, playing within the rules, and using proper technique.
It is imperative to recondition and recertify athletic equipment in order to maintain your and your athletes’ safety on the field. With the impact that comes with contact sports, helmets and shoulder pads, as well as other athletic equipment, can break down over time. Cracks and wear can compromise the integrity of the equipment, and in turn, the safety of the athlete. Heads Up Helmets will give you the peace of mind that the equipment your athlete is using will be the very best defense against injury. While some injuries are inevitable in sports, it’s important to do what we can to minimize the chance and severity of injury wherever possible.
Heads Up Helmets recommends that helmets and athletic equipment be reconditioned and recertified annually. Reconditioning equipment annually ensures that helmets and other athletic equipment performs by standards set by National Operating Committee of Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE). Heads Up Helmets is a member in good standing of National Athletic Equipment Reconditioning Association (NAERA) and licensed by National Operating Committee of Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE).
